Plain-language terms. Use the app freely; do not rely on it where safety or religious or legal obligations depend on it.

Use

Sakina is provided free of charge, as is, without warranty. You may use it for personal purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt the website.

No guarantee of accuracy

Prayer times are astronomical calculations that depend on the method and settings you choose. They can differ from your local mosque or religious authority by a few minutes. Follow your community's published timetable where one exists. Reminders in a web app are not guaranteed to fire; do not rely on them as your only alarm.

Your data

Your data stays on your device. You are responsible for backups; use the export feature. We cannot recover data you delete or clear from your browser.

Third-party content

Calculations use the open-source Adhan library (MIT licence). Fonts Inter and Fraunces are served under the SIL Open Font Licence.
